2008 Update
Duelo and Joan S. received Intermediate I scores at the 2008 Spring Houston Dressage Show
that qualify them for the SWDS and USDF Championships (this fall) at the Intermediate I Level!

Earlier this spring, some of the young horses--particularly Joyeria and Questa-- did very well in schooling
and Open dressage shows-- shown by Joan and daughter Renee.
Duelo's exceptional Oldenburg gelding cross, Ngala, was sold to the East Coast for further dressage
training after doing quite well, even with a junior rider, at shows in the Houston area.

(summer) 2007
Deulo and Joan S. were Top Ten in Intermedate I (Open)
at the
2007 (Fall) Arabian Horse Association Sport Horse Nationals
Deulo and Joan S. won the USDF/ABIG Reserve Championship in Intermediate I in November,
2007 at the Region 9 Open/USDF Dressage Championships

Smola's Arabians is located in Sweetwater, Texas.
Pictured
above is the 1989 Purebred Arabian Stallion, Duelo. He is by the National Top Ten English Pleasure Champion, Duel, who
was by *Gdansk and out of a *Bask daughter. Duel was bred by Smola's Arabians. His dam was sired by the Bay Abi
son Cinnamon Bay.

***Duelo won the Fourth level dressage class at the Regionals***
Duelo is being
shown at Fourth Level and starting Prix St. George Dressage competition in 2004--Open and Arabian.
He has qualified for the Arabian National Championships and for the Southwest Dressage
Championships (USDF) in Third and Fourth level, and won many championships and awards at Class A shows in his show career.
Duelo has a great disposition and has passed this temperment to his foals. He and his foals have proven versatility
and natural athleticism for the show ring.
